Dear Old Friend,

I don’t even know where to start. Ups and downs are normal in any relationship; it’s what you do with them that counts... Simply put, we have had our fair share of both. Some were easily handled and others took years to figure out. Despite this, here we are. Still going strong and keeping each other in check.
We've known each other for years now, almost the majority of our lives. I remember us in elementary school. It's crazy to think that we would still be doing some of the same things we did then. Gaming and gossping together on the playground has turned into online gaming and filling each other in on what's going on in our lives. Looking back at pictures from those days is hilarious. We were smaller and sort of awkward but not much else has changed.
We're older now, more mature and achieving new things. We've seen each other graduate not only high school, but also university. If someone had told me I would be graduating next to some of my childhood friends, I would have laughed. I never thought I'd be one of those people who held on to those elementary or high school friends. You often hear “you make new friends, you lose your high school friends, you forget about them”. I am so glad that I didn't listen. I am truly grateful to have you in my life. Despite the ups and downs, the fights and periods of anger, we have always found a way back to our friendship. That's what counts; bouncing back and forgiving each other. Even if it takes time.
P.S. Thanks for being there for me. I can't wait to see what's in store for us, not only in life but within our friendship.

Hey guys! I just wanted to write this letter to address an old friend. In times like these, we have to keep our loved ones and friends closer than ever. It's been hard not seeing friends and family and that's where most of the inspiration for this letter came from. We gotta stay together and express gratitude for those around us!
Thanks for reading, leave a comment about one of your old friends below! I'd love to hear about your stories together!
